2010 State Tribal Leaders Summit
Governor Bill Richardson and New Mexico Tribal Leaders met for the second annual State-Tribal Leaders Summit on April 14, 2010 at the Isleta Casino and Resort at Isleta Pueblo. The annual Summit, intended to promote dialogue and collaborative government-to-government relationship building among the state's executive branch and tribal leadership, was again a tremendous success. The State-Tribal Collaboration Act of 2009 (SB 196), which requires an annual State-Tribal Leaders Summit, provides the framework for the state and tribal governments to work together to develop successful programs and services to benefit New Mexico's Native American citizens.
